Presentation at the 43rd DGS Congress in Mainz

On 1 October 2026, Dr Sabine Lauer gave a talk at the 43rd Congress of the German Sociological Association (DGS) in Mainz entitled “Hierarchy as an Organisational Principle – Power Mechanisms and Authorship Conflicts in the German Higher Education System”.

The talk was part of the ad hoc session “Abuse of Power in Academia – Current Knowledge and Future Perspectives”, organized by Dr Manuela Tischler, Ronja Philipp and Lina Spagert from Munich University of Applied Sciences as part of the BMFTR-funded junior research group “MiA – Making Abuse of Power in Academia Visible and Developing Preventive Approaches”.
