The joint Federal Government-Länder Competition "Advancement through Education: Open Universities"
At the end of 2020, the joint Federal Government-Länder Competition expired. The planned final event was cancelled due to corona. As an alternative tribute, the project management agency has presented the nine-year success story of the OH competition in a multimedia scrollytelling.
Since 2011, the joint Federal Government-Länder Competition has established a total of 376 academic continuing education programmes in a variety of disciplines ranging from environmental sciences to health management and economics at 101 universities. In the second funding phase from 2016 to 2020, the competition was accompanied scientifically by a consortium of FernUniversitaet Hagen, Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, TU Dortmund University and the non-profit Centrum fuer Hochschulentwicklung (CHE).
The planned final event was cancelled due to corona. As an alternative tribute, the project management agency has presented the nine-year success story of the OH competition in a multimedia scrollytelling. The story focuses on the project results and achieved impacts of the OH competition, especially with regard to the further development of continuing academic education in the German higher education system. The interactive scrollytelling contains over 50 pages, with 350 links and a total of one hour of video and audio material.
